Our KidKraft Disney Frozen Snowflake Mansion Dollhouse Review

KidKraft’s Frozen dollhouse is larger than life, which means kids can really immerse themselves in play and reenact their favorite scenes from the film. At nearly five feet tall and over four feet wide, this dollhouse is big enough for multiple kids to play at one time.

There’s a lot to love about this mansion:

3 Floors, 9 Rooms

With three floors and nine rooms, there’s so much space to play. All of the rooms are open and flow nicely into one another, and there are two additional bonus play areas at the top floor of the home.

Unlike other dollhouses, none of the rooms have a defined purpose. Kids can place the furniture wherever they want, which gives them more freedom to use their imaginations when playing.

All of the walls in the house feature beautiful, vibrant Frozen-themed artwork that truly makes this dollhouse look like a frozen palace. Snowflake patterns and bright blues and purples adorn this house both inside and out, which is exactly what Elsa’s frozen palace would look like.

While this dollhouse doesn’t have an elevator, it does have a winding set of frozen stairs that lead to the second floor. The blue stairs are made from a durable plastic and really add to the frozen look of this house.

The top floor features a special area for the icy throne – complete with an icicle chandelier.

On top of the third floor, there are two smaller play areas, which are great spots for Olaf to hang out. These areas aren’t large enough for dolls to fit, but kids can place other Frozen figurines, if they have them, as well as the included Olaf figurine.

19 Furniture Accessories

Part of what makes KidKraft such a great brand is that they include high quality furniture accessories with their dollhouses. A lot of other brands include nothing but the house itself.

The KidKraft Snowflake Mansion comes with 19 pieces of furniture and accessories – enough to fill every room in the house.

These accessories include:

  • Piano and bench
  • Frozen fountain
  • Bench
  • Table, two chairs and cake
  • Icy throne
  • Vanity and bench
  • Bed
  • Chaise lounge
  • Standing lamp
  • Chandelier
  • Olaf figurine
  • Standing mirror
  • Side table

All of the accessories are of high quality and made with either ultra-durable plastic or wood.

Illuminating Lamp, Chandelier and Vanity

To help bring the house to life, the standing lamp, vanity mirror and icicle chandelier light up with the push of a button.

It’s the little details like this that make KidKraft homes stand out from the competition.

And as an added bonus, batteries are included, so you won’t have to purchase them separately.

Easy Assembly

Assembling this dollhouse is simple and straightforward, although it still takes quite some time to put it together.

The instructions are clear, and all of the hardware is organized nicely, so you’re not searching high and low through a bag full of parts to find what you need.

We do have to note that it takes about two hours to put this dollhouse together. If you’re working alone, it may take a bit longer. If you have an extra pair of hands and experience with assembling dollhouses, you may get this together a little bit quicker than two hours.

Remember, this is a big dollhouse that’s nearly five feet tall, so it’s no surprise that assembly takes quite some time. Just take your time, and follow the instructions accordingly.

We recommend having your child help you with the assembly process. Not only is this fun and exciting for your child, but he or she will also get a great sense of satisfaction from putting together their dollhouse.

And working together provides just a little more time for the both of you to spend together. Most of the hardware and tools are included. All you’ll need is a Philips screwdriver.

Pros

  • Large enough for multiple kids to play at once
  • Lamp, vanity and chandelier light up to bring the dollhouse to life
  • All parts are durable and made with high quality materials
  • Multiple furniture accessories included
  • Adorable Olaf figurine included
  • Accommodates larger dolls

Cons

  • Assembly takes time

Because of its large size, the KidKraft Frozen dollhouse takes quite a bit of time to put together. The instructions and assembly process are relatively simple and straightforward, but it can still take two hours (sometimes longer) to put this dollhouse together.

While not a deal-breaker, it is something to keep in mind – especially if you plan on assembling the house before giving it as a gift.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for a Frozen-themed dollhouse that offers plenty of space to play, multiple furniture accessories and a durable design, it doesn’t get much better than KidKraft’s Snowflake Mansion. Kids will love the light-up features on the vanity, chandelier and lamp, and they’ll also enjoy playing in each of the nine rooms, which are open and flow nicely throughout the house.

Great for kids of all ages, we highly recommend this dollhouse as a gift for the holidays, birthdays or just for fun.
